Senior Managing Consultant & Account Partner – Watson Health Consulting

Commercial experience:

  • Account Partner managing the relationship between a top 5 pharma company and IBM’s consulting division.
  • Driving and contributing to several RFPs in industries including pharmaceutical/life sciences, agrochemical commodities trading, flavors and fragrances, facilities services, and fashion.
  • Proposals topics span the value chain—cloud-based big data and analytics platforms, data science services, real world evidence, culture and innovation jams, digital cognitive / artificial intelligence (Watson) and internet of things (IOT) solutions, robotics, digital customer service agents (chat-bots), and procurement strategy services.

Project Experience:

  • Program Manager of a strategic sourcing project, reporting up to the CPO of the client and IBM organization, to re-negotiate contracts to drive significant cost savings across major categories of indirect procurement spend globally. Program begins with the mobile telephony category of spend in 3 markets.
  • Project manager to set up and deliver a Hackathon event combining AI developers, data scientists, UX/UI designers, and business for the procurement services division of a major pharma company. Hackathon prototypes to be taken into POC, Pilot, and eventually scaled.
  • Led a data science team on a predictive analytics project to build machine learning models that predicted company commodity codes using historic purchase order data with the objective of reducing manual error in procurement processes and improving accuracy in downstream financial reporting.
  • Led a data science team on a weather strategy project to drive insights on how the weather impacts consumer behavior (e-commerce and retail store sales, online searches, and social media sentiments) for a major outdoor wear fashion brand.

  • Project manager for a carve-out of the pharmaceutical product line from a medical devices division within a top 5 pharmaceutical company, responsible for the IT systems transformation supporting financial reporting and accounting.
  • Project manager for a supply chain optimization project, enabling order management automation for a franchise of surgical products, in order to achieve balanced inventory levels and improved customer experience.
  • PMO Lead for Global Business Process Redesign for a top 15 pharmaceutical company (40 consultant FTEs / 70 client FTEs / 300+ Subject Matter Experts)—covering all major business functions (finance, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, commercial, quality, HR, and master data management), to integrate four legacy organizations. The global standardizations of processes across business functions will help support their business growth strategy through further mergers and acquisitions.
  • Supported alignment of program objectives and critical success factors with C-level executives for a multi-year $75M+ global transformation project, delivered company-wide communication through various channels, and managed change management activities for a $35B Japanese pharmaceutical company.
  • Identified critical decision criteria to analyze and prioritize business-enabling tools for facilities and legal departments to support a carve-out of a $2.6B business unit from a major pharmaceutical company in preparation for a potential divestiture.
  • Managed the program-level quality and compliance for 12 IT projects in EURMEA for a top 10 medical device firm, and as part of a major Pharmaceutical acquisition, drove the change to adopt a new IT project management methodology in Europe.

Senior Associate – Business Consultant
  • Led project activities for the largest US Retail Pharmacy and PBM to implement a multi-channel marketing, sustainable health behavior, and prescription advisory product reaching 500+ clients, 7000+ stores, and 11M+ lives.
  • Collaborated with 20+ marketing executives within a top 5 Pharmaceutical company to develop a 2 year multi-channel marketing strategy and road-map to implement capabilities that segment and target physicians to prescribe branded products. Strategies included offer management (e.g. prescription starter kits, product literature), communication management, fulfillment, and 360 customer analytics.
  • Performed a strategy, organization, compliance, process, and data assessment for the Legal department within a leading Health Insurance Company. Developed recommendations to remediate and reengineer mandate implementation process to reduce non-compliance fines levied by State and Federal governments.
  • Performed process and system validation on a global SAP implementation for a large medical device firm by enforcing regulatory documentation and testing requirements, adhering to GxP, SOX, 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, and firm SOPs.

IMLP Intern / Commercial Operations Analyst
  • Formulated a process to reassign orphan records in Siebel to maintain database integrity and eliminate lost opportunities when a salesperson leaves their position.
  • Reduced non-release dependent issue resolution cycle time from 30 days to 2 days as a quoting application project manager.
